thousand fold blessing!

“May the Lord, the God of your ancestors, increase you a thousand times and bless you as he has promised” (Deuteronomy 1:11).

The Israelites received the thousandfold blessing through the descendants of Abraham. In the New Testament, you, being the saved children of God, are the Spiritual Israelite and descendent of Christ. So, thousand-fold blessings are there for you.

The word Israelite means ‘one who struggles and wins over man and God’. It means “The Lord of God and “Blessed by God.” During the whole of his life time, Jacob struggled against God and man and received both the worldly and Spiritual blessings. His earnest prayer elevated him to be an Israelite meaning ‘The Lord of God’, from a position of a trickster. From that day, Jacob became the heir of the thousandfold blessings.

Dear children of God, do you want to have the thousandfold blessing. Pray to God with struggle, placing all your applications and requests. Moreover, build yourself up in your most Holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit (Jude 1:20). Your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you with thousandfold blessing.

While praying to God always place the Name of Jesus before you. Has He not promised, “You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it” (John 14:14). “Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete” (John16:24).

Some people are not earnest while praying. Faith is not seen in it; tenacity is also not there; no struggle too. You should learn how to struggle with God in prayer from Jacob. Then you can expect thousand fold blessings. When your home is struggling with debt scarcity and satan’s attacks, you have to involve in fasting prayer as a family. Do not stop the prayer until you receive all you asked for. One who hears your prayer will definitely reward you. That reward will not be an ordinary one but a thousandfold one.

Hosea who came after many centuries after Jacob wrote about Jacob’s prayer with struggle. “In the womb, he grasped his brother’s heel; as a man, he struggled with God. He struggled with the angel and overcame him; he wept and begged for his favour” (Hosea 12:3, 4). Dear children of God, stand firm in the only Spirit, striving together as one for the faith of the gospel” (Philippians 1:27).

To meditate: “To this end I strenuously contend with all the energy Christ so powerfully works in me” (Colossians 1:29).
