“Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the Lord blessed him. The man became rich and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy” (Genesis 26:12, 13).
Our God is not only God of Abraham but He is God of Isaac also. Generation after generation, He chooses our families and has been blessing them. The blessings of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are ours today.
When God blessed Isaac, the blessings were not single fold or double fold but it was one hundred fold. In the New Testament, When Jesus spoke about the parable of the seeds, He points out that the seeds which fell on the good soil produced thirty times, sixty times and hundred times of what was sown. Indeed all these benefits came through the seeds which fell on good soil. But even among the good soil, the soil which is very fertile yields one hundred percent and that is the perfect yield. Dear children of God, God of Isaac desires to shower you with perfect blessings. Paul the Apostle writes “…all his fullness dwell in him” (Colossians 1:19). He comes that they may have life and have it to the full (John 10:10). Since God blessed Isaac one hundred times he became wealthy and was growing further and further. He became prominent. See, the hundredfold benefits bring three kinds of blessings – prosperity, name and fame.
Is it not necessary for you to inherit these blessings? Sow the seeds as Isaac did. Sow the seeds with faith. Sow the seeds with the belief that you will harvest one hundred times benefit. Some people go for harvesting varying a sickle even without sowing and what could they reap?
Sow the seeds of prayer. “Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy” (Psalm 126:5). Today the harvest is on the increase all over the world. Souls are ready for the harvest. Only those who pray with tears could harvest these souls. If you want to do God’s work, first sow with tears. Solomon the wise says “Ship your grain across the sea; after many days you may receive a return” (Ecclesiastes 11:1).
When I turned to fulltime ministry, the income from the Government job stopped. Hence I had dire need for money, to run my family, as well as the ministry. All that God told me was “sow more and harvest”. When I was receiving the monthly salary, I offered the tithe. But after coming to the full-time ministry I followed a different system. I will decide the quantum of harvest in advance and I will pay one-tenth of it in advance to God. Only after this, I will involve in the process of harvesting. God opened the windows of the heaven and blessed me. He will bless you also in the same way.
To meditate: “Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly and whoever sows generously will also reap generously” (II Corinthians 9:6).
