“The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7).
Getting nearer to Prince of Peace is what known as prayerful life. Know the way to make peace with others by praying to Christ. Since God has given you the privilege of praying and also the Spirit of prayer, you take all your problems and worries to God.
Hannah had no children and hence she lost the peace and happiness in the family. One day, she decided to pour out her heart in prayer in the presence of God (I Samuel 1:13). She was never a sad-faced woman again.
“Now acquaint yourself with Him and be at peace” (Job 22:21). Yes. When friends speak to one another open-heartedly, peace prevails there. If it is so when you speak to God in prayer and move with Him, what a great peace will fill your heart. The man who prays will live with perfect peace. In everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. God will never neglect your prayer of tears. With compassion, he will come nearer to you, comfort you like a mother and give you peace.
Though everyone in the world wishes to have peace, many fail in not placing their burden at the feet of God. Jesus Christ is the only one to bring peace to the world. Peace will be there in His sweet presence. It fills the Spirit, Soul and Body.
The Disciples of Christ felt like orphans after His crucifixion and death. The Disciples of Christ were shivering in fear wondering what the Jews who nailed and killed Jesus on the Cross would do to them.
On Resurrection, Jesus rose in their midst to clear their fear and bring peace to them. The sweet presence of Christ rejoiced them and brought peace. Dear children of God, pray, worship and glorify God until your heart is filled with divine peace.
Whenever you feel the presence of God, the divine peace will descend like a big river and fill your heart. It will make you happy.
To meditate: “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:13).
