“Your words have upheld him who was stumbling, and you have strengthened the feeble knees”(Job 4:4)).
In the history of Scotland nation, there was a queen by name Mary who was a dictator with cruel governance. People used to call her with all hatred as ‘A Mary with blood thirst.” She will kill anyone mercilessly who talked against her.
But at that time there was a powerful man of God by name John Knox. God’s hand was with him. Catching the verse “No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life” firmly he opposed the tyrannical deeds of the queen. When asked that was he not scared in doing this, he replied “Every day I stand before the King of kings and Lord of lords who is the Almighty. Why should I feel afraid over a tiny queen ruling a tiny country?”
Some people approached the queen and asked her how an ordinary person like John Knox could talk against her. Her reply was “I am not afraid of anybody. But when this John Knox kneels down and prays it creates a big impact on me. I feel as though my body is burning. I feel as though I am being burnt alive. I could not oppose this servant of God.
Yes, dear children of God. If you are a kneeling prayer warrior no power of enemy could oppose or overcome you. It cannot rule over you. Hallelujah!
If you wish your prayer to be answered, if you wish the fire to descend on you while praying, let not your prayer be a routine one. Pray with all attention like how Elijah prayed. Satan and the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places will try to oppress the ordinary and routine prayers. See, the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood Daniel’s prayer only for twenty-one days but when Michael who was one of the chief princes came to help, Daniel received the answer for his prayer (Daniel 10:13). Yes, there are so many powers which stand against the prayer.
But coming to the New Testament, if the children of God get filled with Holy Spirit and pray, no spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places could oppose them. So, Jude the Apostle says “Pray in the Holy Spirit (Jude 1:20). Paul, the Apostle says “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful” (Ephesians 6:18). In the Old Testament the Angels brought the answers to the prayers. But in the New Testament, the Holy Spirit Himself brings the answers immediately and so, no power on earth can oppose your prayer for the whole of your life time.
To meditate: “Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord our maker” (Psalm 95:6).
