promises!

“Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt you” (Luke 10:19).

I saw some evil spirits in a man. In the beginning, I did not know how to cast them away. A pastor explained me Luke 10:19 as a promise. I inherited that promise after believing it and after praying for a long time. I accepted it on me just like sponge absorbing water, believing the power of that verse. When I rebuked the demon making use of that verse, the demon ran away.

Take the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God (Ephesians 6:17). “For the word of God is living and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword.” (Hebrews 4:12). Out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword. (Revelation 1:16). The two-edged sword mentioned here is the Scripture. Those verses are life and Spirit.

When Jesus Christ fasted and prayed for forty days, satan brought Him three trials. But every time Jesus said “It is written” and won over him through the Scripture. In your life also follow the Scripture. Lead your life according to what the Scripture says. With the help of the Scripture, you will definitely overcome satan.

Once when I was ministering in Andhra, I had to oppose a terrible sorcerer. At that time God asked e to oppose him catching hold of a particular verse of prophecy. That verse was I John 4:4. “He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world” was the sword of the Spirit God gave to me.

Satan’s aim was to ride on Adam’s shoulders. But Jesus trampled him under His feet. He crushed satan’s head. So He poured His blood on the head of satan and empowered us to overcome every power of his. Trample satan. “You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra. The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot” (Psalm 91:13).

Deborah the prophet says “The torrent of Kishon swept them away, that ancient torrent, the torrent of Kishon. O my soul, march on in strength! (Judges 5:21) “God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly” (Romans 16:20).

Jesus Christ cast out all the evil spirits and the demons which He faced. Even the man who possessed Legion with thousands of demons was unable to oppose Jesus.
God has given those verses to you writing them as prophecy. These verses make the demons shiver in fear. The Words which God spoke are Spirit and they are life. (John 6:63).

To meditate: “For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us” (II Corinthians 1:20).
