“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him” (I Corinthians 2:9).
Even before creating man, God willed to prepare all things which the man may require after coming into existence. He created the sun, moon and the stars. Mountains, hills, oceans and the rivers were created. Further, He created varieties of fruits, birds and the cattle too. Finally, He created man. Even Adam would have been astonished while experiencing God’s ‘love of preparation’ when he was brought to the Garden of Eden.
For the very reason that man will commit sin, God prepared Jesus as a lamb to be slain as a sin sacrifice even before the ages. Similarly, one day, when we go to the heaven we will be rejoiced and praise God finding the arrangements God would have made for our sake.
God prepared a huge fish even before Jonah took a ship for Tarshish violating the instruction of God. He already had instructed the fish to put Jonah on a dry land in Nineveh after keeping him inside for three days. To deliver Jonah from his misery God had already prepared a cool plant to provide him shade and comfort. The God also kept ready a worm to teach Jonah, a lesson.
A wealthy man died of heart disease as he was unable to bear the demise of his only son. Since he did not have a wife or any other children, all his properties came for auction. An elderly lady was the house maid in that house and she had the great love for the deceased boy. This lady also attended the auction. Many valuable items were auctioned one by one. At last when the photograph of the boy was auctioned no one showed interest in participating in the auction. The elderly lady gave all the money she had and received the photograph.
After reaching home she casually opened the rear cover of the photograph and to her great surprise, she found the will of the wealthy man being placed there. It was written in that will that ll the property should reach the person who showed love towards his son. According to the will, all the property of the wealthy man reached the poor old lady.
There is an old song in Tamil which says “All the gold, silver, fame, name and wealth are mere waste. My gracious Jesus, the heavenly property is enough for me.” Yes. God is keeping ready the Salvation, Anointment and the Gifts of the Spirit along with His only Begotten Son for your sake.
To meditate: “He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” (Romans 8:32).
