“…..set the door of the ark in its side. You shall make it with lower, second, and third decks” (Genesis 6:16).
The Ark of Noah had three decks in it. These three decks are the signs for the spirit, soul and body of the man. At the same time, it is the sign for our Saviour’s Trinity. He is God the Father. He is God the Son. He is God the Holy Spirit.
In this Ark, a door should be there on the lower deck. Jesus Christ, who descended on the earth denouncing the heaven is the door of the Ark of Salvation. “I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture“(John 10:9). He is not only the way but also the door. “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me “(John 14:6).
There may be thousands of religions and faiths in the world. Many psychological experts also may be there. But Christ alone is the ladder to the heaven. He is the only one to surrender Himself as ‘offering for sin’ for the sake of remission of sin. No other name has been commanded other than His Name for getting saved.
There was a window in the Ark made by Noah. That was in a higher place in the third deck. That window brought light and air into the Ark. ‘That window’ was a sign for the prayer through which we interact with God and have fellowship with Him. Every one of us needs deep love, fellowship and relationship with God. The prayerful life alone enables us to receive that fellowship. We interact with God during our prayer time and the Holy Spirit of God interacts with us.
If the window of the ark had been kept closed, the waste of the animals would have created a stinking smell and the ark would have been in complete darkness. Hygiene would not have been there. If you wish your Spiritual life to be healthy, keep your heart which is the window, open towards the heaven. Daniel had kept the window of his prayer room open towards the Jerusalem.
Keep your heart open towards Mount Calvary from whence comes the help. Keep it open towards the heaven. Let it be open towards the ‘Throne of Grace’ of God. Then help will come from the Lord who made heaven and earth (Psalm 121:2).
To meditate: “….. Daniel ……with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God.” (Daniel 6:10).
