Father in heaven!

“Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect. (Mathew 5:47-48)

We pray saying “Our Father which art in heaven”. Whenever the servants of God bless others, they say “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all.” When you go to heaven you will meet Jesus Christ face to face. He is fully filled with love. He is the light of love. His love will attract every heart as the magnet attracts iron.

When we reach heaven, the glory, brightness and the heavenly beauty which beam from the face of the loving Lord will exhibit his love but there is one thing mare than everything. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16). We may initiate to understand the length, breadth and depth of it. But it is beyond our human knowledge to understand. He has given His only Son for the sake of mankind. This is not a love on earth alone but it prolongs eternally without any change.

When Paul the apostle was in Patmos he was anointed with the Holy Spirit and had the vision of God. God’s love looked like jasper and a sardius stone to him (Revelation 4:3). It is a love which attracts like a magnet. So far you might have seen love as a characteristic but when you enter heaven you will find love to be person or a Lord. No love on earth could be compared to that of God’s love. There is no one more than the Lord to love others.

The power which has filled the whole of heaven is the power of love. His love will cover our multitude of sins. That love is unconditional and sacrificial too. “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. (James 1:17). He is the Lord of love, Lord of lights, Lord of mercies and He is an eternal Lord.

Dear children of God, the Lord who cares for you is in heaven. He shows crores of love, compassion and mercy than your worldly father. “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.” (John 1:12)

We call him ‘Father’ with the Spirit of Adoption given to us. If we are His children then we will also be his joint heirs with Christ. The Lord is in the heaven. From there He watches you with His eyes of love. So whenever you pray, pray to the heavenly Father.

To meditate: “A land for which the LORD your God cares; the eyes of the LORD your God are always on it, from the beginning of the year to the very end of the year. (Deuteronomy 11:12)
