“My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings.” (Proverbs 4:20).
God has mercifully written all His words and verses in the Bible. There are so many people of God who have translated the Bible in different languages. Some have even gone to the extent of sacrificing their lives to get this Holy book. William Tyndale who translated Bible from the Hebrew and Greek to English in the 15th century was burnt alive in England. It was the thought of the queen that only the religious heads could possess the Bible and others were not entitled to use it.
It is because of God’s immense grace that King James who came to the throne after the queen decided to print the Bible and distribute the same to the people. Thus many Bible societies came into existence in many parts of the world. Today Bible is being printed in thousands of languages. The Bible Societies continue to work on many more languages.
Though the Book of Bible is printed in ink like many other ordinary books, there is a big difference between them. God’s Spirit is there in every verse of the Bible. There is life in them. So it enlightens every soul. Makes even the ordinary into wise. It is sweeter than honey and honeycomb.
Not only that. The Bible verses are powerful and authoritative. How powerful are God’s words! When He rebuked the wind and commanded “Peace, be still!” and everything obeyed. His harsh words of is words.
“Be quiet, and come out of him!” chased the evil spirit. That is why the centurion told Jesus to speak one word so that his servant will be healed and saying this he received the miracle.
Dear children of God, speak the verses. Tell the promises. Spell out the words of faith. Then the words coming out of your mouth will also become powerful. Jesus said “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, “Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” (Mark 11:23).
Do not be dismayed while facing the hills since you have been given with promised by God. Do not be discouraged while facing the hurdles. Speak words of faith and oppose them. The problems which are like hills today will get cleared like snow
To meditate: “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach) (Rom 10:8).
