renewing power!

“Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day” (II Corinthians 4:16).

When you pray God to renew you, He fully renews your spirit, body and soul. He gives you a new power and mercies to you. The inner man of yours is also renewed day after day. God has laid two conditions for this purpose. One is Immersion Baptism and the other is anointment of the Holy Spirit.

When Apostle Paul writes to Titus he says “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit:” (Titus 3:5). When you come into Jesus you put and end to your previous life.

Not only that. You get your cleansed by the water immersion which stands as sign to Christ’s death, burial and Resurrection. At the same time, the Lord fills you with Holy Spirit. It is God’s will that you should progress day after day with the renewed power.

When you are filled with Holy Spirit, you are united with God and you get transformed. “But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him” (I Corinthians 6:17). You might have heard of John Wesley, a servant of God. One day a reported interviewed him and his question was “Dear Pastor, now a days the churches wear a deserted look. But how is it that such a big crowd is turning out to your meetings? What is the secret behind this?”

Are you able to guess what would have been his reply? He said “John Wesley has subjected himself to the renewing power of the Holy Spirit. People throng here to witness how the power of Holy Spirit burns within me.”

Dear children of God, do you want the inner man within you to be strengthened powerfully? Do you want your spiritual life to be strengthened? Give space for the fire of the Holy Spirit to descend on you. Pray God to renew your spiritual life. Then He will definitely renew your life.

God has promised the Holy Spirit for us. “And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever” (John 14:16).

To meditate: “The Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you” (John 14:17).
