In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace” (Ephesians 1:7) “….. in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins (Colossians 1:14).

With the purpose that all people should receive forgiveness and Redemption, Jesus Christ suffered outside the gate (Hebrews 13:12). If He had suffered within the gate then the benefits of forgiveness and Redemption would have gone to the Jews alone. But just because He suffered outside the gate it was possible for any man to come and receive the joy of Redemption.

“Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered” (Psalms 32:1). “And …. without shedding of blood there is no remission” (Hebrews 9:22). “It is the blood that makes atonement for the soul” (Leviticus 17:11). For the life of the flesh is in the blood. Hence to cleanse our blood and to remove the strains of sin He shed His precious blood. In respect of the saints of the Old Testament, their sins were covered by the blood of the cattle. But the blood of Christ alone could wash the man and make him righteous.

Jesus Christ, on the night when He was betrayed “…….He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. For, this is my blood of the new covenant which is shed for many for the remission of sins.” (Matthew 26:27, 28) “….knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot (I Peter 1:18, 19).
Jesus Christ has shed His blood on the earth and has left drops of the same here. Those drops of blood are so blessing for us.
“Blood, which is shed for the remission of our sins (Matthew 26:28) “The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin” (I John 1:7). “A new and living way, which He consecrated for us through the veil that is, His flesh.” (Hebrews 10:20).

“…..but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot” (I Peter 1:19). “Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him” (Romans 5:9).

“To reconcile having made peace through the blood of His cross” (Colossians 1:20) “He might sanctify the people with His own blood” (Hebrews 13:12). “And have made us kings and priests to our God” (Revelation 5:10).

“Oh, Lord, Wash me once with the blood flowing out of the wounds in your torn body. Will you plead for Him to purify the depth of your heart, its thoughts and your personal life? Dear children of God, meditate the blood fountain of Calvary. The life of heavenly fountain will rise from you.

To meditate: Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more” (John 8:11).
