words of prophecy!

“Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book” (Rev 22:7).

Bible is a book of prophecy. This is called in the names ‘Word’, ‘Holy Scripture’ and God’s Commandments’. It is also known as ‘verses’ and ‘Sword of the Spirit’. Even you can notice the Book of Revelation being a book of prophecy.

All the books in the world can discuss the past and present happenings. But the Holy Bible alone will foretell the future happenings also very clearly.
You can find a Babylonian King by name Nebuchadnezzar in the New Testament. Once he went to bed with the thought of what was in store for the future, the Lord foretold him all the things which would happen in future. “As for you, O king, thoughts came to your mind while on your bed, about what would come to pass after this; and He who reveals secrets has made known to you what will be” (Daniel 2:29).

Similarly, the disciples wanted to know the future and asked Jesus “Tell us, when these things will happen? And what will be the sign of your coming, and of the end of the age?” In answering to this question, Jesus Christ explained all the future happenings and you can find the entire chapter 14 of Mathew being prophetic. As a whole, the prophetic words in the whole Bible works out to 27%. The Holy Bible has acquired distinctiveness through these prophecies which no other book possesses.

There are numerous prophecies in the Holy Bible over the coming of Christ, the rule of the Antichrist, the rule which will be there after His second coming and about the eternal life. The Bible also explains issues like what the divisions in heaven are and how will be the hell? etc. How important it is to study the Bible while getting ourselves ready for His second coming!

There are 7959 verses in the Bible. Among them 330 verses constantly remind us of His second coming prophetically. In the entire Bible, the prophetic verses of revealing how the future would be, find place at around 1845 instances. Since the Bible repeatedly cautions about Christ’s second coming you have to realise the importance and prepare yourself further and further.

Dear children of God, “And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts” (II peter 1:19).

To meditate: – “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first” (I Thessalonians 4:16).
